Gurkha Legend Vintage 2001 (single)
The epic return of a rare tobacco icon. When the original 90-rated Gurkha Legend was forced into retirement due to an extreme shortage of its elite tobaccos, aficionados everywhere mourned. Years later, Gurkha shocked the industry by sourcing a highly coveted stash of aged leaves to bring the blend back to life: enter the Gurkha Legend Vintage 2001.
Handmade in the Dominican Republic, this exceptional medium-to-full-bodied smoke is draped in a spectacular, dark, and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that was harvested in 2001 and subjected to a rigorous triple-fermentation process. Underneath this rare, vintage wrapper sits a savory Cameroon binder and a premium, long-filler core of aged Cuban-seed tobaccos grown in the legendary Cibao Valley. After rolling, the cigars are patiently cedar-aged to ensure an ultra-smooth, perfectly balanced delivery.
The Flavor Journey
The Legend Vintage 2001 opens with an incredibly thick, velvety smoke profile. Deep notes of rich baker's cocoa and dark roast espresso beans take center stage, quickly supported by a creamy, buttery-smooth texture. As the flawless burn progresses, sophisticated undercurrents of earthy leather, cedar, and an engaging, peppery-sweet finish develop on the retrohale.
