My Father El Centurion (single)

A legendary piece of blending history. My Father El Centurion is a highly revered, medium-to-full-bodied masterpiece meticulously crafted by the legendary José "Don Pepín" Garcia. Originally released as a highly limited, mythic small-batch project in the mid-2000s, El Centurion has returned to regular production—utilizing the family's most meticulously aged, select tobaccos to deliver a masterclass in classic, complex Cuban-seed transitions.  

Hand-rolled at the prestigious My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, this blend comes wrapped in a flawless, sun-grown Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper leaf displaying a gorgeous milk-chocolate hue. Beneath its smooth, oily surface lies a deep, proprietary core constructed entirely of specialized, estate-grown Nicaraguan long-fillers and binder leaves—featuring rare, carefully isolated harvests of Criollo '98, Sancti Spiritus, and Corojo Habano seed varietals. It is a connoisseur's blend that balances raw, volcanic power with absolute elegance.  

The Flavor Journey

True to the My Father lineage, El Centurion commands attention upon lighting with a robust blast of black pepper and charred cedar wood. As the perfectly uniform burn line establishes itself, the smoke softens into a thick, velvety texture. Complex layers of heavy earth, rich leather, and roasted espresso beans take center stage, accented by a deep, natural sweetness reminiscent of molasses and dark baking spices. The retrohale is wonderfully lively, finishing clean with an upscale, creamy cedar note.
